ULTRAGUARD™ is a system based on a winning trilogy :

1. The ULTRAGUARD™ Application Trolley

The ULTRAGUARD™ application trolley is a unique device that adapts to the type of road restraint.
It allows the simultaneous application of paint and glass microbeads. The trolley can be adapted to all airless marking machines on the market.
The ULTRAGUARD™ system can be applied in dry weather from 7°C and the expected speed is 1 to 1.5 km/h.
The application width depends on the requirements of the road manager: between 5 and 10 cm.

2. ULTRAGUARD™ paint

The specially formulated ULTRAGUARD™ paint is produced in an automated manufacturing unit by adding raw materials to a mixer at a controlled rate and mixing within a set time. It offers a number of benefits:

No or very low odour
Fast drying
Non-toxic, non-flammable paint
Tool cleaning with water
Exclusive advantage: Won't run when applied vertically
Designed for long lasting performance
Paint is factory sieved to 300 microns.

3. ULTRAGUARD™ glass microbeads.

The ULTRAGUARD™ microbead called ‘TTB’ is manufactured exclusively in the USA. Its components are of the highest quality. The production process is very complex and conventional bead production uses mainly recycled glass. For ULTRAGUARD™, the glass used is pure and of high quality, but must be melted at over 2000° C (high energy consumption) and the chemical formulation of the glass is modified to obtain the refraction coefficient (1.9) by adding metal oxides (as for the colour change of the crystal) including titanium, which are therefore very expensive materials.

This composition enables the microbeads to reflect light from a vehicle's headlights back to the light source with minimal loss, and to maintain a sufficient level of retroreflection in rain or fog.
