𝗨𝗟𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗚𝗨𝗔𝗥𝗗™ : road safety innovation in the UAE

SOLOSAR and its local partner, ROAD CARE-RC in Dubai, worked with the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure to carry out an application of the highly retroreflective coating on guardrails: 𝗨𝗟𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗚𝗨𝗔𝗥𝗗™.

The challenge was to equip a mountainous area 120 km from Dubai and in particular a curve containing steel guardrails and a concrete barrier on the E87 road named Al Shuhada' Road.

Our team first adapted the application equipment to a customer's paint and bead existing system on a truck and worked at night.

The application was completed in less than an hour and, above all, allowed the local teams to get to grips with the 𝗨𝗟𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗚𝗨𝗔𝗥𝗗™ system and to carry out the first few linear runs themselves.

This transfer of technology will enable local teams to be able to carry out spot installations throughout the country at the request of the Ministry and further increase road safety at night or in bad weather on Middle Eastern roads.

Why is it a brand new Innovation ? 𝗨𝗟𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗚𝗨𝗔𝗥𝗗™ is the first highly retroreflective paint that can be applied vertically on every type of existing or new crash barriers.

With 𝗨𝗟𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗚𝗨𝗔𝗥𝗗™ technology, we can apply the paint on steel guardrails and New Jersey concrete barriers at critical traffic locations or black spots to make the road verges more visible at night  and therefore help motorists drive more safely.
