SOLOSAR is involved in the Upper Valais (Switzerland)
SOLOSAR is involved in the last section of the Swiss highway A9 in the Upper Valais between Sierre and Brig (30 km).
Do you know Zermatt and its mythical summit the Matterhorn? Now you can get there even more easily...
Another project realized with SOLOSAR technical solutions.
The last section of the A9 highway between Sierre and Brig is still being built in sections.
The highway section will complete the southwestern bypass of the town of Visp, largely underground. The Vispertunnel, which is 2.4 kilometers long, exists at this point.
It will enable motorists travelling to the Zermatt and Saas Fee valleys from the French-speaking part of the Valais to reach them quickly and safely.
- Total budget: 1 billion Swiss francs, 96% of which will be borne by the Confederation and 4% by the canton of Valais
- 24 km of tunnel.
- 30 km of brand new roadway
SOLOSAR supplied part of the Swiss-standard road restraint systems for this highway.
